About the Project

Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) is studying bus stops in the Towson area for improvements and potential development of a Towson Transit Hub. We kicked off this project by meeting with Baltimore County staff and officials, local institutions, community and business groups, and property owners in the project area.

MTA has identified the preferred location (along Fairmount Avenue, north of the Towson Town Center mall) based on site visits, public and stakeholder outreach, and additional analysis. During the fall, we engaged the public on desired amenities at the preferred location. We have since developed 2 concept designs based on this feedback and guidance from MDOT MTA's Bus Stop Design Guide and are now seeking input from the public and our stakeholders.
