FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Just in Time for the Holidays, Store Offers a Wide Range of Transit-Inspired Goods

BALTIMORE, MD (November 26, 2024) – Looking for some inspiration for your holiday shopping?  The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration today announced the launch of the agency’s online merchandise store, which features a variety of artfully imagined branded apparel such as shirts, socks, sweatshirts, drinkware and more. The Maryland Transit Administration joins other transit agencies across the country in providing riders and transit enthusiasts a platform to showcase their love for all types of transit. Shoppers are invited to visit MDMerchStore.com to explore the official merchandise collection and explore the many ways to share and display their enthusiasm for taking transit.

“Now it’s easier than ever for Maryland transit fans to celebrate our system,” said Maryland Transit Administrator Holly Arnold. “Our new merchandise store offers our riders a chance to show off their pride in our city and our region.”

With the gift-giving season in full swing, the agency’s first holiday sweater is ready to make every gathering merry and bright. This limited-edition sweater features the iconic Baltimore skyline, transit mode icons and festive snowflakes – a must-have for any transit enthusiast. Merchandise will be updated regularly with new products and seasonal items. The agency also has partnered with “Made in Baltimore” vendors to highlight and support local businesses.

While the online store website has been designed for ease of navigation, payment and fulfillment, the agency will host pop-up shops so that supporters of the region’s transit culture can shop in-person.

Shoppers can stay updated on new merchandise arrivals and upcoming events via social media, including www.Facebook.com/mtamaryland,  www.instagram.com/mtamaryland/ and www.x.com/mtamaryland.
