and Make Your Ride to Artscape a Breeze
BALTIMORE, MD (JULY 18, 2019) – As fine artists, craft designers and art exhibits take center stage at the annual Artscape festival July 19-21, the Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) encourages visitors to leave their vehicles at home and take public transportation. MDOT MTA provides riders with safe, reliable and affordable transportation to Baltimore’s Arts & Entertainment District for all the sights and sounds of Artscape.
“Customers can save on gas, and avoid traffic congestion and parking challenges on Mount Royal Avenue, Charles Street and Bolton Hill by taking transit to Artscape,” said MDOT MTA Administrator Kevin Quinn. “We encourage bus riders to plan their trip using our Transit app, and purchase tickets through our mobile-ticketing app, CharmPass.”
The closest MDOT MTA Local Bus routes to Artscape are CityLink Gold, Green, Lime, Silver and Yellow, as well as LocalLink 51, 53, 54 and 94.
The State Center/Cultural Center Metro SubwayLink Station is steps away from the festival and is open until midnight.
The Light RailLink stop at Mt. Royal/MICA is centrally located on the Artscape grounds.
Light RailLink riders should note that due to ongoing construction work being conducted by the city’s Department of Public Works, a free bus bridge is in place to serve impacted stops between Camden to North Avenue. Light RailLink trains originating from northern Light RailLink stops will alternate terminating service between North Avenue and Mt.Royal/MICA. Riders traveling to Artscape should disembark at the Mt. Royal/MICA stop. Transit Ambassadors will also be at the impacted Light RailLink stops to assist riders.

Light RailLink service begins at 6 a.m. on Friday, 7 a.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday, and will operate until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and an hour after the close of Artscape Sunday evening.
