MARC Riders Can Use Washington Metro as Travel Option


BALTIMORE, MD (June 28, 2017) – MARC Train riders can expect major delays on the Camden and Penn lines today due to an incident involving an Amtrak train just north of Washington Union Station resulting in two fatalities.

Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration MARC Train service will be severely impacted throughout the day with possible cancellations on some evening Penn Line trains. Currently, there is limited service on the Camden Line between the Baltimore Camden and Greenbelt stations and on the Penn Line between Perryville/Baltimore and the New Carrollton stations. Train delays on both lines range from 5 to 60 minutes.

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority Metrorail will honor MARC Train tickets as riders can make transfers at Greenbelt and New Carrollton.
